We first learned about alpacas in 2003 through an in-flight magazine on the way home from vacation. The ad featured an adorable alpaca face with a caption that read "Alpacas - The the best livestock investment in the world."

One of the first things I did when I got home to Maine was to locate and visit the closest alpaca farm. Of course it was love at first site and we were hooked. So we did our research and finally started our alpaca farm in beautiful rural Whitefield, Maine in 2004 with 5 alpacas. Since then our herd has grown to 30 plus alpacas with multiple ribbons to attest to their value. We have learned how to breed for quality fiber, conformation and character and are enjoying the lifestyle they offer. We welcome vistors and are anxious to "talk paca" with anyone who will listen.
